What is lipolaser?
Lipolaser is a high-precision and minimally invasive procedure to shape the body in a healthy way. It naturally stimulates the release of excess fat without destroying or altering the structure of adipose tissue and the tissues found near it.
How is the treatment carried out?
Treatment begins by applying an anesthetic solution under the skin. After this, a small incision is made through which a thin, flexible fiberglass probe/cannula is inserted. A laser circulates through it and, when moving through the areas where the fat is accumulated, destroys the adipocytes and transforms the fat into an oily liquid. This fat can be aspirated with another cannula or expelled by the body itself.
During the process, when the laser is liquefying the fat, it coagulates the veins to prevent unexpected bleeding and stimulates the natural production of collagen in the skin and fatty tissue. This action favors tissue retraction and increases sagging.
It is performed under local anesthesia and does not require admission to a hospital.
Postoperative
The best thing about opting for this treatment is the quick recovery. Once the treatment is finished, a compression garment is placed on the area that has been treated and the patient is able to return to their routine quickly and painlessly.
Thanks to the coagulation provided by the laser, possible inflammation and bruising are considerably reduced.
On the other hand, having lymphatic drainage during the recovery period can help make the period shorter and more bearable.
Advantages
Let's name some of the advantages:
- This process is much cheaper than liposuction.
- It involves less discomfort for the patient than with other types of surgery.
- It does not entail large scars, only those incisions through which the cannula is inserted.
- The recovery time is less compared to other types of operations.
Disadvantages
This is a type of surgery that will not make the patient lose weight, only remove excess fat in some parts of the body. Therefore, it is important to know that it is not a process that lasts a lifetime if it is not accompanied by healthy eating and exercise.
For this reason, it is not a procedure that is recommended for people who are obese or very overweight. Certain diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, hypertension or diabetes must also be evaluated.
Who is the ideal patient for this intervention?
The person who is best suited for this type of intervention is the one who only wants to eliminate a localized amount of fat with the aim of shaping their figure a little.
If you have healthy eating habits and exercise, what you achieve in the operation can be maintained over time, since the fat that is eliminated can be regained.
