What is breast augmentation?
He breast augmentation It is the implantation of a breast prosthesis that is performed in order to modify the size and shape of the breasts. The demand for this surgical procedure is due to several reasons. Some patients are not satisfied with the size of their breasts and want to have an augmentation; It can also be performed to correct the sagging and emptiness that has occurred in the breasts, in most cases this sagging is a consequence of one or more pregnancies, and the implant is also performed in those cases in which the size of a breast is disproportionate to the other.
Types of implants
There are different types of prostheses depending on the needs of each patient.
Round
They tend to fill out the neckline more and are usually the most used in mastopexy. They project the upper pole of the breast more, although special attention must be paid to patients who are thinner so that they do not appear too artificial.

What material can the implants be made of?
Silicone
Silicone It is usually the most used material since it is the most natural and prevents the filling from spilling if the breast breaks.

What does the surgery consist of?

Am I the ideal patient?
The ideal patient is that person who is not comfortable with himself or his chest. We can differentiate three ranges of ideal patient.
First of all, we can talk about someone who has never had a beautiful breast or who likes it either in shape or size. These are people who have never had breasts, so they come to make them look prettier and feel more satisfied.

What is the scar and the results like?
The scar does not bother the patient. As time passes we can notice that the scar becomes a small white stripe that is neither bothersome nor practically visible. If the intervention is performed directly, taking advantage of the gap in the areola, a change in pigmentation that occurs naturally is used to help conceal it.
